    Performance of Diversity System Output Signal in Mobile Cellular System in the Presence of alpha-mu all Short Term Fading and Gamma Long Term Fading

    In this paper, wireless mobile communication system with macrodiversity reception is considered. Macrodiversity system is consisting of macrodiversity selection combining (SC) receiver and three microdiversity SC receivers. Propagation channel suffers alpha-mu short term fading and Gamma long term fading resulting in system performance degradation. Analytical closed form expression for average level crossing rate (LCR) of macrodiversity SC receiver output signal envelope is obtained Mathematical results are analyzed, presenting the influence of long term fading parameters and short term fading parameters on average level crossing rate. Obtained results can be used in the process of simulation and design of real-world environments mobile cellular telecommunication systems

    U ovom radu je izložena analiza makroviÅ”estrukog prijama za slučaj uporabe tehnike prostornog raŔčlanjenja sa selektivnim kombiniranjem (SC ā€“ selection combining) u prisustvu korelacijske Gamma sjene. Na mikrorazinama razmatrane su tehnike prostornog raŔčlanjenja kombiniranja s maksimalnim odnosom (MRC ā€“ maximal ratio combining) za ulazne korelirane grane, kako bi se sprječio utjecaj brzog Nakagami-m fedinga. Prvo su izvedeni izrazi u zatvorenom obliku za statističke karakteristike sustava drugog reda: srednji broj osnih presjeka (LCR ā€“ level crossing rate) i srednje vrijeme trajanja slabljenja (AFD ā€“ average fade duration). Na osnovu ovih izraza, kroz njihove priraÅ”taje analiziran je utjecaj korelacije na makrorazini (korelacije zasjenjenja) na karakteristike sustava. Analiza prezentirana u ovom radu, može biti od značaja u procesu projektiranja makroraŔčlanjenih sustava.In this paper an analysis of selection combining (SC) macrodiversity reception performed in correlated Gamma shadowing environment will be presented. At each microlevel maximal ratio combining (MRC) with correlated branches is observed, for mitigating effects of Nakagami-m short-time fading. First, novel closed form expressions are derived for second order statistical measures, level crossing rate (LCR) and average fade duration (AFD). Capitalizing on these expressions, the influence of correlation at macrolevel (shadowing correlation) will be analysed through their derivatives. Provided analysis could find application in current macrodiversity system design

    In this paper, the effects of multipath fading and shadowing over the propagation channel are observed through the performance analysis of switch and stay selection combining (SSC) technique. The short term fading (multipath fading) in conjunction with the long term fading (shadowing) are both modeled by Generalized-K (K_G) distribution. The proposed system is considered as interference-limited system in correlated fading environment. The probability density function (PDF) of signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) at the output of SSC receiver is derived in form of Meijer G functions. According to this new expression, the outage probability is considered and the effects of fading and shadowing parameters and correlation coefficients on the performance gain are analyzed.U radu su razmatrana djelovanja viÅ”eputnog slabljenja i zasjenjivanja signala u propagacijskom kanalu pomoću analize SSC prijemnika raznolikosti (prekidački prostorni kombinator raznolikosti). Kompozitni utjecaj brzog (viÅ”eputnog) i sporog slabljenja signala (zasjenjivanja) modeliran je poopćenom-K (K_G) razdiobom. Predloženi sustav razmatran je kao sustav s ko-kanalnom interferencijom kao dominantnom smetnjom i koreliranim slabljenjem signala. Funkcija gustoće razdiobe (PDF) odnosa signal/smetnja (SIR) SSC izlaza prijemnika izvedena je u obliku Meijer G funkcija. Na osnovu ovog izraza, razmatra se vjerojatnost ispada te analiziraju učinci parametara i korelacijskih koeficijenata slabljenja i zasjenjivanja signala na unaprijeđenje performansi sustava

    Relative measurement error analysis in the process of the Nakagami-m fading parameter estimation

    An approach to the relative measurement error analysis in the process of the Nakagami-m fading signal moments estimation will be presented in this paper. Relative error expressions will be also derived for the cases when MRC (Maximal Ratio Combining) diversity technique is performed at the receiver. Capitalizing on them, results will be graphically presented and discussed to show the influence of various parameters, such as diversity order and fading severity on the relative measurement error bounds

    As an important performance measure, in this paper the outage probability of dual- and triple-branch selection combining (SC) diversity system is compared. The analyzed system works over correlated Weibull fading channels in the presence of cochannel interference (CCI) where the output signal choice is done using desired signal algorithm.     Experimental examination of the applicability of additive technologies in the field of rapid tooling - injection molding

    In this paper, an experimental examination/analyzing applicability and machinability of the polymer materialā€™s core and cavity formed using additive technology (rapid tooling) was conducted. Achieving the price reduction of the final product, as well as the price of the mold for plastic injection through the introduction of rapid tooling injection molding can be applied, not only to mass production, but also to small series production. This research is limited to obtaining plane parts of simpler geometry from polypropylene polymer material. Obtained results showed that, at this point, it is not directly possible to completely produce a core and cavity only through additive technologies. In order to achieve some tolerances at specific places, it is still necessary that the core and cavities are machined with conventional methods. On the other hand, it turned out that by using a polymer core and cavity, it is possible to produce a smaller series of the parts

    Outage Probability of Macrodiversity Reception in the Presence of Fading and Weibull Co-Channel Interference

    In this paper macrodiversity reception with macrodiversity selection combining (SC) receiver and two microdiversity SC receivers operating over Gamma shadowed Weibull multipath fading channel in the presence of co-channel interference subjected to Weibull short term fading is analysed. Closed form expression for cumulative distribution function (CDF) of signals at outputs of microdiversity receivers is calculated. These results are used for CDF evaluation of macrodiversity SC receiver output signal envelope. Series of derived expressions for outage probability rapidly convergence from 5 to 10 terms should be summed to achieve accuracy at 5th significant digit for any Gamma long term fading parameters and Weibull short term fading parameters. In this paper, influence of Gamma long term fading severity parameter, Gamma long term fading correlation coefficient and Weibull short term fading nonlinearity parameter on outage probability are analysed and discussed

    Level crossing rate of SC receiver over gamma shadowed Weibull multipath fading channel

    U ovom radu je razmotren bežični telekomunikacijski sustav sa SC prijemnikom koji radi u prisustvu Weibull-ovog fedinga i Gamma sjenke. Utjecaj Weibull-ovog fedinga na primljeni signal se ogleda u promjeni anvelope signala, a utjecaj Gamma sjenke u promjeni snage izlaznog signala. SC prijemnik se koristi za smanjenje utjecaja fedinga i sjenke na karakteristike sustava. Izraz za srednji broj osnih presjeka izlaznog signala iz SC prijemnika je izveden u zatvorenom obliku. Dobiveni rezultati se mogu koristiti za izračunavanje prosječnog trajanja otkaza bežičnog sustava. Numerički rezultati su predstavljeni grafički, kako bi se prikazao utjecaj parametara fedinga i sjenke na karakteristike sustava.The wireless telecommunication system consisting of selection combining (SC) receiver which works in Gamma shadowed Weibull multiple-faded channel is discussed in this work. The received signal suffers Weibull small scale fading which leads in variation of the signal envelope and Gamma large scale fading which results in variation of the SC receiver output signal envelope power. SC receiver is utilized to abate the impact of Gamma large scale fading effects and Weibull small scale fading effects on system characteristics. The formula for average level crossing rate (LCR) of signal envelope at SC combiner output is performed in the closed shape. The result we get can be applied to calculate the average fade duration (AFD) of such wireless systems. The obtained solutions are plotted in a few graphs to point out the impact of Weibull fading envelope severity parameter and Gamma shadowing severity parameter on system features
